We have really enjoyed sharing these Saturdays with the workshops participants and are excited about our REPIQUE WORKSHOP coming up this Saturday, September 27 from 10:15am-11:45am at Garza Studios. 🔆

Join us to explore the fun, popping sound of the repique and learn about how it drives so many of our songs with its fun rhythms, calls, and solos in Batalá. 🤍♥️🖤

Have you ever wanted to feel what it’s like to play the powerful and energetic rhythms of samba reggae?? 💥💪🏿💥🙌🏼💥

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to beat on the drum and make music in a group of other drummers? ✨🥁✨

Well, here’s your chance! We are really excited to offer a samba reggae workshop series to all those who are curious, interested, intrigued, and those who are novices, beginners, and proficient, too! 🙃

We will dedicate one Saturday to focus on each instrument and its role in our music, as well as some of the nuances and specific technical pillars needed to grow in it. 🫡

You can take one of the workshops or all of them, that’s up to you! We encourage the whole series so you can get a good well rounded exposure to it all. 🌀
