Step into the prehistoric world with Dino Academy! Led by the quirky and curious Dr. Sarah Tops, this action-packed adventure uncovers fascinating dino facts that will wow even the biggest dino fans. Featuring life-like, colorful dinosaur puppets that stomp, roar, and charm their way into every heart. This show blends science, storytelling, and imagination in the style of your favorite nature programs. It's an unforgettable field trip through time - without ever leaving your seat! Here at the Fairbanks Library on Thursday, June 25th at 3:00 pm.

This is one of our Thursday Summer Fun Kids Events at the Fairbanks Library. It is designed for elementary school-aged children and their families.

Tickets are required for this event and all Thursday Summer Fun Kids Events. Tickets are FREE and available at the Fairbanks Library service desk starting at 2:30 pm on the day of the event. Tickets are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals must be present inside the library to receive a ticket, and everyone attending the program must have a ticket to be admitted. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and adults must remain with their child(ren) during the program.

Our Thursday Summer Fun Kids Events are ticketed to ensure the safety of our program attendees and the requirements of our presenters.

All Thursday Summer Fun Kids Events will be held at the Houston CyFair Lions Club located across the parking lot from the library. Remember to get your tickets inside the library first! We will start seating attendees at 2:45 pm with the program starting at 3:00 pm.

Closure Notice

The Fairbanks Branch Library will be closed for maintenance from June 29 through July 2.

During this time, the branch will not be open to the public. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve our facility.

Are you interested in starting a business and being your own boss?

During this class, we will go over business planning, goal setting, creating mission statements, and the basics of understanding branding. This section comes with role playing, real world examples and other activities to reinforce fundamental principles of business.

Ms. Candice Okin, the founder of Mason Makes Money Fund will be teaching this class!

Programs are always free and made possible by our Friends of the Fairbanks Library.

Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize. Siblings are always welcome. We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located.
