It’s finally in the works — construction has officially started!

We’re thrilled to officially announce our newest concept:
Schafer’s Coastal Kitchen, coming soon to Nassau Bay.

We recently acquired the former Luby’s property at 1600 E. NASA Parkway in Nassau Bay! The former Luby’s Cafeteria, a 10,000-square-foot building along NASA Parkway, across the street from Space Center Houston is being transformed into Schafer’s Coastal Kitchen, opening Fall 2026.
What to Expect:

✔️ Gulf Coast seafood favorites
✔️ 40 seat oval bar serving Craft cocktails & curated wine selections
✔️ Elevated yet relaxed and welcoming atmosphere
✔️ Full-service seated dining
✔️ Private dining rooms for meetings and events
✔️ 125+ local jobs created

For years, many residents have said there was a void in full-service dining in the area. We’re proud to help fill that gap with a destination restaurant rooted in Bay Area hospitality.
Our current locations include Schafer’s Coastal Bar & Grille, Lil Outriggers Hula Bar & Grill in Clear Lake Shores, and were partners in Outriggers Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar, the famous water born landmark located under the Kemah Bridge.
Demolition has begun.

Mentoring

What an inspiring day this week at Brannan Designs! We have the absolute joy this semester of hosting a mentoring group of 3 talented CCISD Independent Study Mentorship (ISM) students right here in the Houston Bay area. We brought the magic of physical model building to life—turning sketches and ideas into tangible 3D architectural study models. Watching these young future architects get hands-on with materials, scale, and design principles was incredible! Their creativity and enthusiasm reminded us why we’re so passionate about this field. At Brannan Designs, we love sharing our expertise and are deeply committed to inspiring the next generation of architects and designers. Moments like these fuel our dedication to mentoring and giving back to our community.
