I am so proud of our chapter. Out of 160 DZ alumnae chapters nation wide, we are #9. Not many numbers seperate us from being in the top 5. 🩷💚

DZ University of Houston Scholarship Dinner.

This year's DZ scholarship will honor two sisters who passed away this year; Karissa Barber Ma and Cindy Hart. They are gone too soon and we will miss them dearly.

Karissa was initiated in 1996 into the Delta Theta Chapter at the University of Houston. Karissa could light up a room with her bubbly energy. She made everyone feel at ease and included. Her energy was a swirling orbit of acceptance and welcoming friendship. She was beautiful, kind, accepting, fun, and amazing. She was very active at the UH chapter and moved to Arizona with her husband. They had two beautiful children.

Cindy was initiated in 1987 into the Iota Alpha Chapter at Texas State University. Cindy was a beautiful person inside and out. She was kind, trustworthy, compassionate, smart, honest, and hardworking. Cindy was a loyal friend to many. She had a good sense of humor and was fun. She deeply loved her family, friends and animals.
