THE WONDER YEARS: Li, what were you like in the 80's - 90's?...

When I told my sister in 2019 that I wanted to be an Organizer, she said "oh you would be great, when you were 3, you used to line your stuffed animals up from biggest to smallest and your shoes in perfect rows.” I don’t remember it but I believe her 😂.

By 11, my collection had grown 🧸. I needed a space for all my favorite things, so I created my first “toy corner.” I found old milk crates in the trash, cleaned them up and turned them into shelving for my stuffed animals. I added a little table, a rug and a chair to make space for my Cabbage Patch dolls, toys, water color brushes and other things.

At 14 (second slide), we had moved but that same creativity followed me.
• A found an old bookshelf that I painted pink with my bare hands and lined it with leftover wallpaper for my encyclopedias.
• By then, I was more mature and needed a refined “toy corner” for added art, awards, and drawings.

Looking back, I’ve always had the eye…even when I didn’t have much. So when people ask how long I’ve been organizing, the answer is simple...since I was 3 😂.
