While Houston's temperatures stay warm, September is when smart property managers begin preparing trees for the months ahead.
Routine pruning, inspections, and proactive care now help landscapes transition into fall stronger, healthier, and more resilient.

Houston Tree Spotlight: Bald Cypress
Known for thriving in wet conditions, Bald Cypress trees are an important part of Houston's landscape.
Their unique root systems help stabilize soil while providing beauty throughout every season.
Proper care helps these remarkable trees remain healthy for decades.

A well-maintained landscape creates more than curb appeal.
Healthy trees improve property value, increase shade, enhance tenant experience, and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
Tree care is an investment, not an expense.

Not every leaning tree is dangerous...
But a sudden lean, exposed roots, or soil lifting around the base could signal structural instability.
When in doubt, have it evaluated by one of our Certified Arborists before the next storm.

Healthy trees begin below ground.
One of the first things our arborists check is whether the root flare is visible.
When a tree is planted too deeply, oxygen flow becomes restricted and long-term health can suffer.
Sometimes the smallest details reveal the biggest problems.

🌱 Fun Fact!
Did you know....?

Tree stress doesn't always show up when the damage happens.
After months of Houston heat, drought conditions, storms, and environmental stress, trees may not begin showing visible symptoms until weeks, or even months, later.
Thinning canopies, early leaf drop, dead branches, or changes in leaf color can all be signs worth a closer look.

What you notice in September may tell a story that started this summer.

Trees don't just improve appearance, they improve comfort.
Strategically placed mature trees help reduce surface temperatures around sidewalks, buildings, and parking lots while creating a better experience for employees, tenants, and visitors.
Healthy trees are working every day.

Today we pause to remember the lives lost and the courage shown on September 11, 2001.
We honor the victims, first responders, military personnel, and all those whose selfless actions continue to inspire us.
Their strength, sacrifice, and unity will never be forgotten.

Bark tells a story.
Cracks, seams, fungal growth, loose bark, and insect activity can all reveal what's happening inside the tree long before leaves begin to decline.
Professional tree care begins with recognizing the signs that matter.
