Congratulations to the Greater Houston LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce on an incredible 10 years of empowering businesses, strengthening our community, and creating opportunities for all.
We were honored to attend the luncheon and left feeling truly inspired by the speakers, their stories, and the remarkable journey of the Chamber over the past decade. The passion, resilience, and commitment to building a more inclusive business community were evident throughout the entire program.
A special congratulations to Event Chairs Dr. Baly, Brooks Ballard, and Francisco Sánchez, Jr. for organizing such an outstanding celebration. The event was thoughtfully planned, inspiring, and a wonderful reflection of the Chamber’s impact over the last decade.
The celebration continued into the evening, and we were excited to be part of the official afterparty, bringing the fun with our 360° Photo Booth and helping guests capture memories from this special milestone.
A special thank you to Wallace for being such a great sport and stepping onto the 360 platform! You helped show everyone that celebrating success should be just as fun as achieving it.
And thank you to Koren for working with us and helping secure a wonderful spot at the afterparty so we could be part of the celebration.
As first-time attendees, we were inspired by the energy, leadership, and genuine sense of community in the room. It was a wonderful reminder that when people come together with a shared purpose, amazing things happen.

✨ Week Recap at HEP! ✨
This week, we had the pleasure of helping bring another fantastic event to life for one of our favorite clients, Austin Point, at their beautiful new 1825 Community Center in Richmond, Texas.
Nestled within one of the area’s newest and fastest-growing neighborhoods, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of great food, networking, and community connection. The model-home-inspired clubhouse is absolutely stunning and gives residents and guests a glimpse into the lifestyle Austin Point is creating.

🌈✨ What an incredible experience attending our very first LGBTQ+ Chamber luncheon! ✨🌈
We had an absolute blast meeting so many amazing professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and advocates who are making a difference every day. The energy in the room was inspiring, welcoming, and full of opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate success together.
It was also wonderful to showcase some of the fun experiences we bring to events, from our exciting casino entertainment to our interactive photobooths that help create lasting memories and meaningful engagement.
A huge congratulations to the LGBTQ+ Chamber on celebrating 10 years of impact, growth, and advocacy. Over the past decade, the Chamber has helped strengthen businesses, foster inclusion, create opportunities, and build a vibrant community where everyone can thrive.
As event professionals, we know that strong communities are built through relationships, and it was an honor to be part of an event that brought so many passionate people together under one roof.

I always have the hardest time explaining what it is that I actually do. 😂
Event planner?
Venue manager?
Professional fire extinguisher of chaos?
Therapist for stressed clients?
Weather negotiator?
Human GPS during load-in?
Emergency coffee-powered logistics ninja?
So… I asked AI to create a brand profile of me based on everything it knew.
Honestly? It was SCARILY accurate. 😳
From:
✔️ Crazy weather emergencies
✔️ Venue management madness
✔️ Timeline disasters
✔️ Last-minute client changes
✔️ Vendor juggling
✔️ Ballroom transformations
✔️ “Can we move this wall?” requests
✔️ Smiling through complete insanity
…it somehow captured exactly who I am.
The funniest part is people usually only see the glamorous side of events:
✨ Pretty centerpieces
✨ Fancy lighting
✨ Champagne glasses
✨ Guests having fun
Meanwhile behind the scenes we’re:
• moving tables at lightning speed
• checking loading docks
• fixing microphones
• solving staffing issues
• watching radar apps like meteorologists
• and praying the pipe & drape truck arrives on time. 😂
But honestly?
I wouldn’t trade this industry for anything.
Creating experiences people remember forever is worth every chaotic moment.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who somehow do it all…
The ones who can cook dinner, solve a family crisis, answer 14 questions at once, find your missing shoe, and still remind you to bring a jacket because “it might get cold later.” 😂
Moms are magical like that.
They say things like:
“I’m fine.”
while carrying the entire emotional support system of the family on their backs. ❤️
They’re the first to wake up…
the last to sit down…
and the ones making sure everybody else is okay before themselves.
A mom can turn a house into a home, stretch a dollar like it’s elastic, and somehow know exactly when her child is hurting even when they say nothing at all.
And let’s be honest…
nothing humbles a grown adult faster than hearing their full name from their mother. 😂
But behind all the funny mom moments is something real:
The sacrifices nobody sees.
The stress they hide.
The prayers they whisper.
The love they give without ever asking for credit.
Mothers are the glue holding families together and half the time they’re doing it while exhausted and pretending everything is “fine.” 💐
Today we celebrate the women who gave us strength, wisdom, comfort, tough love, and a million memories we’ll carry forever.

Let’s Talk About the Most Underrated Line Item in Events: STRIKE
Every week, we hear:
“Can we reduce or remove strike?”
Of course, right after the chairs walk themselves out and the linens politely fold themselves.
Here’s the part no one sees…
When your event ends, the real work begins:
✔️ 10 to 12 crew members
✔️ 2 to 4 hours of coordinated breakdown
✔️ Late nights, tight timelines, and zero room for error
That’s 30+ labor hours after the applause.
Pipe and drape do not gently float down on their own.
Those 12 ft uprights do not magically shrink. Someone is out there, usually at midnight, bringing them down piece by piece.
Centerpieces don’t politely excuse themselves either.
