I am originally from Houston, Texas. There a saying, "Shoot first, ask questions later". I don't condone gun violence so this concept applies more to taking risks in my life. I March of 2018 I bought a one way ticket to Mexico City not knowing what I was going to do except that I wanted to learn to print my collages by hand using screen printing methods. That method is CMYK. Now I work out of a collective studio space ATEA with artist friends who feel more like family. Fast forward... a good old friend Carrie Allen from my previous life of working in the culinary industry reached out to me out of the blue to ask if I could produce this print. The answer will always be yes. The result is a 20 print edition of "Little Susie". It's a pleasure to do some s**t I care about day in day out.

It's with distinct pleasure and gratitude to Taller Trez here in Bogotå that TOIL PRESS announces it's first ever workshop regarding the CMYK Process model that it employs for converting paper collage into hand pulled screen prints. Stay tuned amigos! Lot's of cool stuff to come.
