What does it mean when your child’s therapist says they’re working on “core strengthening”?

Did you know all of things that are firing at the same time as the core? While yes, working specifically at the core can make a child stronger, we need to look at the whole picture because we’re all about FUNCTION! For example, a child with a strong core but lacks visual skills is going to struggle with handwriting and reading.

This is why it’s so important to take a holistic approach in treatment and receive individualized care because there are never two kids that present exactly the same!
