The way you speak to yourself matters. Self-doubt, anxiety, worry, and anger are the devil's tools. Choose your words wisely, especially when relating to others. Your words can build trust or break it permanently.

Generations grew up seeing powerful images like 'I am Kunta Kinte' and LeVar Burton's tears, feeling a deep connection. Shows like 'A Different World' and 'School Days' offered positive, aspirational messages. Today, that kind of content is missing. We need to reintroduce these impactful Black experiences to our children so they understand their heritage and aspire to more.

As a professor and father, I saw behaviors needing guidance. My book, 'The Real One's Codes,' draws on hip hop and street wisdom to shape young men, offering the village mentorship many lack. It explores the curse of validation and how lyrics influence thoughts.

We're taught from a young age: 'Don't cry, be a man.' As men, especially Black men, there's an expectation to always be strong, always have it figured out. We're expected to be Superman, but being Superman gets exhausting. What are the signs when the man in your life is always the hero, but never admits he's tired?

In a world of constant connection, we're paradoxically more isolated. It's time to check in on the people around us, truly see them, and offer support. Real connection is what we need.

Every invention solved a problem. When God created you, it was to solve a specific problem on Earth. Your unique purpose is the answer to that problem, and an adversary exists to stop you. Embrace your authentic self to fulfill your divine calling.
