Over the past 80 years, educational design has transformed dramatically, shaped by changing technologies, teaching methods, and the evolving needs of students.

In 1958, PGAL completed its first major higher education project: Rice University’s Hamman Hall. Designed during an era centered around large-scale lectures and formal academic gathering spaces, the project marked the beginning of a long-standing commitment to creating environments that support learning and campus life.

Today, we’re continuing that work through projects like the Sam Houston State University Active Learning Center, helping create a new generation of learning environments designed for flexibility, collaboration, technology integration, and student engagement beyond the traditional classroom.

From our earliest campus projects to today’s evolving educational environments, our focus remains the same: thoughtful, forward-looking design.

80 years of design excellence, inspired by where learning goes next.

Over the past 80 years, aviation has transformed dramatically; and so has the way we design for it.

In 1969, PGAL completed its first major aviation project: Terminals A/B at Houston Intercontinental Airport. That project marked the beginning of a long-standing commitment to designing environments that support how people move, connect, and experience travel.

Today, we’re continuing that work through projects like the Terminal B Transformation at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, helping reimagine the passenger experience for the next generation.

From our first terminals to more than 25 million square feet of aviation projects, our focus remains the same: thoughtful, forward-looking design.

80 years of design excellence, and we’re just getting started.
