Entering service in 1949, the B-36 had a 230-foot (70 m) wingspan, a range of more than 10,000 miles (16,000 km), and a maximum bomb load of 87,200 pounds (39,600 kg). It was the first bomber capable of delivering early thermonuclear weapons.

Engineers are developing the world’s first hydrogen-fueled hypersonic jet, capable of reaching Mach 12 — twelve times the speed of sound. That’s over 14,000 km/h, fast enough to fly from New York to Tokyo in under an hour. Unlike conventional jets that emit CO₂, this aircraft runs entirely on cryogenic hydrogen, combining with oxygen to produce only water v***r as exhaust. Its plasma-shielded ceramic shell can endure temperatures beyond 1,200°C, while AI-guided scramjet engines manage airflow and stability at near-space altitudes.
The jet transitions smoothly from runway takeoff to exoatmospheric flight, operating in the thin upper layers of the atmosphere where air resistance is minimal. This technology could also serve future space missions, enabling reusable vehicles that bridge Earth and orbit. If this project succeeds, it won’t just make intercontinental travel instantaneous — it will also prove that speed and sustainability can coexist. The future of aviation might not only be faster but cleaner and smarter than ever before.

B-1 Lancer B-2 Stealth Bomber B-52 Stratofortress
You've listed three iconic American strategic bombers! Let's briefly touch on each one:
B-1 Lancer:
Nickname: "Bone" (from "B-One").
Key Feature: Variable-sweep wings (wings can move back for high speed and forward for better lift at lower speeds). This gives it a unique look and performance capability.
Role: Primarily a supersonic strategic bomber capable of carrying a large payload of conventional weapons. It was originally designed for nuclear strike but has been adapted for conventional missions.
Current Status: Still in active service with the United States Air Force.
B-2 Stealth Bomber:
