✨ What an amazing first Tuesday of the month at S.A.F.E. Communities! ✨

Yesterday was filled with community, connection, health resources, small-business support, birthday celebrations, and plenty of smiles. From free blood-pressure checks and helpful information to shopping with local vendors and spending time with wonderful members of our community, the day was truly a success.

We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by, participated, supported our vendors, and helped make the atmosphere so welcoming. Moments like these remind us why community outreach matters—when we come together, we strengthen families, uplift one another, and create meaningful connections. ❤️

This past Saturday, several of our S.A.F.E. Communities students attended the 5th Annual Gulf of Mexico Youth Climate Summit in Houston. This youth-led gathering brought together students, organizers, educators, scientists, artists, and advocates to learn, connect, and strengthen the movement for environmental justice.

Through panel discussions, storytelling, art, and community conversations, our students gained new knowledge about the climate challenges affecting Gulf Coast communities and the power young people have to help create meaningful change.

We are proud to see them exploring new ideas, building confidence, and becoming informed leaders who care about the health and future of their communities. Their smiles tell us they enjoyed themselves—and we know they returned home inspired! 🌱✨

Our students had the opportunity to attend the Gulf of Mexico Youth Climate Summit, a youth-led gathering created to educate and empower young people throughout the Gulf region. The summit encouraged participants to learn about environmental justice, climate leadership, advocacy, and the issues affecting frontline communities.

We love seeing our young people step into spaces where they can learn something new, connect with others, and recognize that their voices can help shape a healthier and more just future. We are so proud of them! 💚🌎
