I was too lazy to chase the comet so I shot this is my back yard...LOL

One of my favorite subjects to photogaph in MIchigan. Here is a synopsis.
The Mackinac Bridge, also known as "Big Mac," is a suspension bridge that spans the Straits of Mackinac, connecting Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. Completed in 1957, it stretches 5 miles (8 kilometers) and is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. The bridge allows for the passage of vehicles over the water where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet, significantly improving transportation and economic connectivity between the two peninsulas. Its iconic towers stand 552 feet above water, and the bridge is a vital part of Michigan’s infrastructure and tourism.

The whitefish boats in Leland, Michigan, are a key part of the historic charm of Fishtown, a small, working waterfront that dates back to the late 1800s. Situated along the Leland River, which connects Lake Leelanau to Lake Michigan, Fishtown is home to several classic fishing vessels that are used to catch whitefish, a staple in the region's fishing industry.

These fishing boats are a living reminder of Leland's rich fishing heritage. Most of the whitefish boats are owned by local commercial fishermen who operate in Lake Michigan. The whitefish caught by these boats is often sold fresh in local markets and featured in many local restaurants.

Whitefish boats on Lake Michigan are typically associated with commercial fishing operations targeting lake whitefish, a species that is abundant in the Great Lakes, including Lake Michigan. The boats used for this purpose are often specialized in gillnetting or trap netting, which are common techniques for catching whitefish. This guy was coming in after a long cold haul.
