This is the live tracking session for Josh Ward’s​ new single “Heartbroke By”, which was recorded at yellow DOG Studios ⁠in San Marcos, TX. What a killer crew on this one - Steve Cargill, John Carroll, Adam Goodale, and Travis Bishop.

It is quite a treat to get a group of this caliber together in a single room, so when everyone was set up to track as a full band in the same space, I knew I had to include the whole band in this video. H***y tonk doesn’t require much - but it does require that everyone mean it. No chasing and no forcing. Just a band listening and playing together.

I have played live gigs with Josh for over a decade now, so it’s cool to finally say I am on a recording of his. More of THAT to come! In the meantime, go give Josh’s entire catalog a spin.

This is the live tracking session for “Even The Ghosts Left Town” by Hayden Baker, which was recorded at Rosewood Studios in Tyler, TX. I only had my camera on this particular day, and it just so happened to be for what ended up being 3 of my favorite songs on the record, including “Even The Ghosts Left Town”, which was performed in a single take.

Nothing fancy on this one – just trying to lay a solid foundation for the band and lock in with my partner in groove, Steve Cargill (Cargill Basses), who you may notice in the frame.
