Thank you The Ìlé Ayọ̀ Experience for the best time at The Curated Continent Marketplace 🤎

This was our first time outdoors in a long while, and it reminded us why we love doing this. From the people who stopped to get to know the brand for the first time, to the ones who recognized real leather when they touched and smelled it, to the ones who took the time to hear the story behind it; every conversation meant something.

We left satisfied and with a full heart. Till the next one! 🤎

Meet Wura, an Environmental Engineer.

We spoke about personal style, everyday essentials, and why her Ese Belt Bag has become the piece she reaches for time and time again.
She says “Personal style is your identity. Your personal branding. A chance to express who you are without saying a word.”

Watch a moment here, then head over to our YouTube channel for the full conversation. Link in bio. 🩵

Meet Fatimah, a legal practitioner based in Lagos.

Fatimah first received the Ese Micro as a gift in September 2025. A few months later, she discovered the fuchsia Ese Mini at one of our pop-ups.

“I didn’t think twice.”

Today, it’s one of the pieces she reaches for without overthinking— whether she’s heading to work, visiting friends or spending an evening out.

When asked about her personal style, she shared:

“My style is an extension of how I want to show up in the world. I gravitate towards rich, jewel-toned pieces because they feel confident without trying too hard. Style, for me, isn’t about trends. It’s about pieces that feel like an honest reflection of who I am.”

Thank you, Fatimah, for being part of the Marté story.

This bag almost didn’t make it into the world.

We made it in green-white-green for an important customer in 2024. It was a design that we were planning to release a year before but life kept happening. We made two in this size to get it exactly right: one went to her. The other sat, unreleased, never added to the catalog, no new colors, just samples lying around.

Then at Leather Fair last year, we decided to test it in the market and this sweetheart saw it. Fell in love on sight and took it home.

Two weeks ago at Lagos Leather Fair, she showed up carrying it — we couldn’t help but film her talking about how much she loves it, how she was drawn to it the second she saw it and how she rocks it.

Some pieces find their person before we even plan for them to.

Thank you hun for loving and sharing our design with the world everywhere you go.

Would you want a version of this bag in a different colorway? Let us know — we’re listening 👇
