Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day! The Unity in the Community leadership team from Unity of Houston Church hosted an annual luncheon honoring over 100 Pilgrim Academy teachers and staff for their dedication to the children and families in this underserved community.

Unity in the Community from Unity of Houston joined the West Houston Assistance Ministries and the Houston Food Bank to distribute food for those families in need. Love-guided organizations working together! Join us!

Unity in the Community volunteers gather every second Wednesday to prepare needed items for the BEACON and SEARCH. Preparing soap, shampoo and cream for those in need. Thank you Unity of Houston volunteers!

Unity in the Community from Unity of Houston sponsored a Lunch and Learn presentation with Dr. Theresa Tran Carapucci, Director of the Houston Health Department. We thank Dr. Carapucci for sharing her perspective and her vision on the issues that face the Houston area.

Unity in the Community from Unity of Houston volunteered at the West Houston Assistance Ministries, WHAM, to distribute food for the Houston Food Bank. Thank you UIC volunteers for giving your time and support to the underserved.

We thank the many caring and generous individuals from Unity of Houston who supported our Coats and Unity Drive. Unity in the Community collected clean, used, and new blankets and coats that were donated to people experiencing homelessness through The Beacon Homeless Day Shelter and Search.

The Unity in the Community leadership team continues to work for those in need. The Unity of Houston congregation made contributions to help feed hungry families in our community.
