Life doesn’t send a calendar invite before it throws a curveball. ⚾️

A trip to the ER. An unexpected diagnosis. A hospital stay that wasn't part of the plan. While health insurance helps cover medical costs, there can still be plenty of other expenses waiting back at the ranch.

That’s where voluntary benefits like Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity coverage can help. These benefits can provide cash to help with deductibles, groceries, childcare, household bills, and other unexpected expenses that can pile up when life takes an unexpected turn. 💸

Because when the unexpected comes knocking, a little extra financial protection can go a long way.

At the end of the day, it's about giving employees and their families a little more peace of mind so they can focus on what matters most. 🤝

At Adams Insurance Service, we’ve always believed in backing the next generation coming up in this industry. 🤝

We’re proud to be longtime supporters of the American Subcontractors Association - Houston Chapter (ASA-HC) and AGC Houston scholarship programs and the opportunities they help create for students pursuing careers in construction and related fields. Investing in young folks who are willing to work hard, learn the trade, and help shape the future of this business is something we’re always glad to support. 🏗️

Congratulations to all of the 2026 scholarship recipients. We’re excited to see where the road takes y’all next! 🎉

This month, Adams Insurance Service joins the National Safety Council in spotlighting how we can all work together to prevent injuries and save lives - both on and off the job. 🦺 Did you know, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were over 5,280 work-related fatalities and over 2.5 million nonfatal injuries in the private sector in 2023. That’s a powerful reminder why safety matters every single day.

Join us in recognizing this year’s weekly safety themes:

June 1–7: Continuous Improvement
June 8–14: Employee Engagement
June 15–21: Roadway Safety
June 22–30: Well-being

We encourage employers and teams to use this month to review your safety programs, engage your people, check vehicles, support mental health, and strengthen your overall safety culture. Small actions today = fewer incidents tomorrow. ✅ Let’s make June (and every month) safer! Be sure to tag a coworker or safety champion – and let’s spread the word! 📣

Texas heat is no joke, and neither is keeping your crew safe in it 🌡️.

OSHA’s new National Emphasis Program on Heat Hazards officially went into effect on April 10, 2026, putting a stronger focus on protecting workers from heat‑related illnesses on the jobsite and in indoor work environments.

Around here, we believe staying ahead of heat stress starts with planning before the temperatures start climbing. That means understanding the specific heat risks on your jobsite, making sure crews have water, rest, and shade 💧, and knowing the warning signs before trouble comes knocking.

One helpful resource we share with clients is the OSHA NIOSH Heat Safety Tool app, which helps crews monitor heat index levels right from their phones and provides reminders on protective measures based on current risk levels.

Faith Boren recently held a training meeting demonstrating the Triplett HS10 Indoor/Outdoor Heat Stress WBGT Meter, helping crews better understand how to measure and monitor real heat stress conditions out in the field 🛠️.

Adams Insurance Service also provides training for clients on OSHA’s updated heat emphasis program, including heat hazard awareness, work practices, PPE guidance, and protecting new workers who may not be acclimated to the heat yet.

When the summer sun starts bearing down, it pays to be prepared and keep your crew one step ahead of the heat.

The Adams Insurance Service crew has been keeping busy and making the rounds lately! 🚧

Our team attended the ASA Houston BLDG Crawfish & Shrimp Boil Happy Hour + Fundraiser, where the crawfish was hot, the networking was strong, and support for the ASA Scholarship Fund was front and center. 🦞

We also enjoyed ASA Houston’s inaugural GC Expo Hard Hats & Handshakes, complete with live music from local country artist Jake Bush and plenty of opportunities to connect with industry partners from across Houston. 🎶

We’ve covered a lot of ground lately, and we’re already looking forward to the next round of events!

Around here, when it comes to keeping folks safe and operations running smoothly, Faith Boren is someone you want in your corner. 🛡️

As our Vice President of Risk Management, she brings nearly two decades of experience helping businesses stay ahead of risk.

Since 2007, Faith has worked with companies across Texas, delivering safety training, compliance support, and practical risk strategies that hold up in the real world. As an OSHA Outreach Trainer, she leads training in both English and Spanish, helping crews understand how to stay safe where it matters most. 👷‍♀️

Before stepping into risk management, Faith spent 14 years in claims adjusting, giving her a firsthand look at what can go wrong and how to help prevent it. She’s also active in the industry, serving on the board of the Independent Insurance Association of Houston, and helping support the next generation in the industry.

Outside of work, Faith stays busy with her husband Cody and their three kids, keeping up with school, sports, and everything in between.

At the end of the day, Faith’s focus is simple: helping organizations protect their people, property, and bottom line. Thanks for all you do, Faith! 🤝

This Memorial Day, we take a moment to slow down and honor the men and women who gave everything in service to this country. ⭐ Their sacrifice is the reason we get to enjoy the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

Around here, we believe it’s worth tipping our hats to those who answered the call and never made it back home. ❤️ Their courage, strength, and commitment aren’t something we’ll ever forget.

We hope you spend today with family and friends, with a little gratitude for the freedoms we all share. 🇺🇸

At Adams Insurance Service, we’re proud to pause, reflect, and honor their legacy today and every day.

Looks like we’ve got a few anniversaries worth celebrating this month! 🎉

We’re recognizing a great group of folks here at Adams Insurance Service who’ve put in the time and helped shape what we do day in and day out. Julie Stephenson is celebrating 15 years, Michael Berry marks 9, Trang Nguyen hits 8, and Mark Donahoe rounds out his first year with us.

You don’t get to milestones like that without a whole lot of hard work, consistency, and showing up ready to get after it every day. 💼

We’re grateful for everything each of you brings to the table and the part you play in making Adams what it is. 👏

Big congratulations are in order for several of our Adams Insurance Service clients who were recognized at the ABC Houston Built Safe Safety Expo and Awards event with the ABC STEP Award! 🏆

Faith Boren attended the Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston May Membership Breakfast, where several of our clients including Craig & Heidt, Inc., MAREK, Karsten Interior Services , SpawGlass, Griesenbeck Architectural Products, and Holes Inc were recognized for their commitment to building safer job sites and stronger safety cultures across the industry.

The event also shined a light on an important topic in construction today, mental health and su***de prevention. In a line of work where folks are used to pushing through tough days, it’s a reminder that supporting your people goes beyond the jobsite. 🤝

We’re proud to ride alongside clients who lead by example, look out for their crews, and represent the kind of partnerships we value here at Adams Insurance Service.

Think your business is too small to get hit by a cyber-attack? 🤔

That’s a common belief. But it doesn’t quite hold up.

The reality is, small businesses make up 43% of cyber-attacks each year, and ransomware is involved in 88% of those breaches. On top of that, the median ransom demand now sits around $115,000, which can be a tough hit for any operation.

Turns out, it’s not about being the biggest player on the block. It’s about being the easiest target. Think of it like this. You wouldn’t head down a dark road at midnight without taking a few precautions. Running your business without basics like multi-factor authentication is pretty much the same idea. 🔐

Cyber insurance is your backstop, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle. Having a solid IT partner and locking down your systems, email, and network is where real protection starts. Around here, we’d rather help folks stay ahead of trouble than deal with it after the fact. ✅

If you’re not sure where your cyber coverage stands, Adams Insurance Service is ready to help you get it squared away.
