This taskforce was formed with the primary goal of streamlining the process of where and how animal cruelty can be reported in the Greater Houston Area.

On ๐–๐ž๐๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐€๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, Houston Humane Society will work to neuter ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ+ ๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ฌ in a single day.

If you have a cat, or care for community cats, youโ€™re invited to sign up.

This event is open to both owned and feral cats, helping prevent unplanned litters and support healthier lives across our community.

โ€ข Limit of 4 cats per household
โ€ข All cats must be in a plastic crate or carrier
โ€ข Each cat receives a FREE distemper vaccine
โ€ข No proof of rabies? You can get one onsite for $10 *Rabies vaccine required by law

Spay and neuter is one of the most impactful ways we can reduce overpopulation in our community.

It also prohibits use of heavy chains and removed the mandatory 24-hour warning period for pet owners after their dog is found living in inhumane conditions.

Beginning today at 12 PM, the Office of Commissioner Rodney Ellis, in partnership with the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast, will open the Lincoln Park Community Center as a 24-hour warming shelter for residents looking for relief from the arctic weather.

Meals and cots will be provided, and the pet-friendly shelter will also welcome crated pets.
