Protect Your Home
1. Insulate Exposed Pipes: Wrap pipes located outside or in unheated areas of your home to prevent freezing and potential bursts.
2. Drip Faucets: Allow faucets to drip slowly to keep water moving through the pipes, reducing the risk of freezing.
3. Open Cabinet Doors: Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to allow warmer air to circulate around plumbing, especially if pipes are on exterior walls.
4. Seal Drafts: Check windows and doors for drafts and seal them to keep cold air out and maintain indoor warmth.
5. Replace Furnace Filter: should be done monthly during the heating season. This lessens the strain on your heating system.
6. Install Carbon Monoxide Detectors: If using gas heaters or fireplaces, ensure carbon monoxide detectors are installed and functioning to prevent poisoning.
7. Emergency Kit: Assemble an emergency kit with flashlights, batteries, bottled water, non-perishable food, medications, and blankets.
8. Charge Devices: Keep mobile phones and other essential electronics fully charged in case of power loss.
If you have water damage to your home’s contents, please call Restoration Cleaners. We work with all insurance carriers and Public Adjusters.
