Effective today, individuals age 17 and over must show valid proof of identification to obtain a recreational hunting or fishing license.

Hunters might have their minds on other things other than turkeys this time of year, but state agencies are working for the wild turkey all year round. You can take part in brood surveys to help keep your agency best informed on how turkeys are doing in your areas.

Has anyone ever seen turkeys roosting on powerlines? This was a first for me, I probably saw close to 40 birds spread out on the lines themselves, not the power poles. It was a really cool experience!

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our dear friend and dedicated Treasurer, Brooke.

Brooke was an incredible part of our Houston NWTF chapter—always generous with her time, steady in her commitment, and someone who truly cared about this community. Her impact will be felt for years to come, both in the work she did and the relationships she built.

We are keeping her family and loved ones in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
