We had a really good time last night at our Coogs for Christ Celebration Dinner. I am so thankful for our board who put this together and all the people that came out. I really appreciate our students who were able to come out as well. We have to run this back next year! You don’t want to miss.

Happy Sunday! We are so excited about our celebration dinner on Mar 26. Please come and celebrate this ministry with us! The theme this year is Building Bridges. Bridge building is dangerous, but absolutely necessary work. It is considered the most hazardous construction site with many deaths that occur in the process of building bridges. Yet, bridges have to be built for the purpose of connecting people. Coogs for Christ is in the business of building spiritual bridges. We need your help in the gathering of resources and construction process. We seek to build bridges by standing in the gap and connecting to college students who are far from God to God and spiritual community. Please find the pinned invitation and rsvp for this dinner. There is no cost for admission. We would love for you to dine with us, celebrate this ministry and we invite you in partnering with us as we continue to bring Christ to the University of Houston campus.

As I pray over our campus at the University of Houston, I’m constantly reminded why Coogs for Christ exists.

Everything we do flows from three pillars:

Evangelism – We are not ashamed of the Gospel. We intentionally build relationships and boldly proclaim Jesus so that every student has the opportunity to encounter Him.

Discipleship – We don’t just want decisions; we want transformation. We walk closely with students, teaching them how to follow Christ in their studies, relationships, and future callings.

Mission Mobilization – We refuse to let students see campus as the destination. It’s a launching pad. We equip and send them to impact their families, their neighborhoods, their jobs, Houston, and the nations for the glory of God.

My heart is simple: reach the lost, build the believer, and send the called.

Our Annual celebration dinner and fundraising event is coming soon. We would love your attendance as we bring more awareness to this essential ministry.

We are entering into a season of careful consideration. Many on this day are beginning the process of sacrificing worldly things as we walk up to the celebration of Easter. Many are also adding practices to their everyday walk to give God more opportunities to spiritually form us. I am thankful for this season because it helps me put things in perspective as I reflect on the sacrifice of my lord and savior, Jesus Christ! Please keep our students in your prayers. I am so blessed I get to walk with them in this spiritual journey.
