Today is National Feral Cat Day, and here at Texas Pets Alive, we are celebrating the passage of HB 3660 during the 88th Texas Legislative session. HB 3660 further protects the Trap-Neuter Return initiative, which humanely helps stabilize the feral cat population. Thank you to the sponsors of this bill for advocating on behalf of Texas cats: Cody Vasut, Briscoe Cain, Judith Zaffirini, Texas State Senator and John Whitmire.

Today is National Walk Your Dog Day and we have good news for everyone who is kicking off October with a walk with their best friend. The says a 20 minute daily walk can decrease your chance of a cardiovascular event! Now is the perfect time to grab that leash and get walking.

Even more veterinary schools will now participate in the rural veterinary incentive program, thanks to the collab with and the bill sponsors! This bill supports aspiring veterinarians and helps animals. Has your cat visited a vet lately?

Happy International Cat Day! If you love cats (like we do!) you will want to know that HB 2063 passed during the 88th Texas Legislative Session. The bill requires consent before a cat or dog is left unattended at a boarding facility. Thanks to the bill sponsors for protecting cats in Texas!
