🇺🇸 THROWBACK THURSDAY 🇺🇸
After nearly 27 years, one of the longest-running legal battles impacting the firearm industry has finally come to an end.
In May 2026, the Indiana Supreme Court declined to hear the case commonly known as "Gary v. G***k," effectively ending a lawsuit that began in 1999.
Why does this matter?
âś… Helped reinforce protections for lawful firearm manufacturers under federal law.
âś… Protected the privacy of approximately 400,000 firearm transaction records from disclosure.
âś… Demonstrated what can happen when industry groups, advocates, legislators, and everyday Second Amendment supporters stay committed for the long haul.
This victory wasn't measured in months—it was measured in decades.
The fight for the Second Amendment is often a marathon, not a sprint. This case serves as a reminder that persistence, advocacy, and engagement can make a lasting impact.
Did you know this lawsuit lasted nearly 27 years?
All 27 years are documented in the issues of ISSN!
