Glaucoma is one of the world’s leading causes of blindness. Because it usually shows no symptoms until its advanced stages, the disease can cause irreversible damage over time. Getting a yearly eye exam is the best way to detect eye diseases in their early stages. With early treatment, vision loss can be prevented or slowed down. The excessive use of digital devices is taking a toll on our eyes and vision. Save your vision by taking a break every 20 minutes to look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Sit at least arm's length away from your screen and make sure to adjust screen brightness to match the lighting around you to avoid eye strain. That said, the most important thing you can do is to get your eyes examined regularly.
