Houston Area Doberman Rescue is a 501c3 that takes in dobermans in need from all over TX. We are always in need of more volunteers
We are the first doberman rescue in Houston and have been operating for over 10 years. We vaccinate, microchip, spay/neuter, and treat heartworms before the dogs are placed in new homes. Only dogs of stable temperament and reasonable health are placed through our program. We maintain vet records and keep the dogs current on a regimen of heartworm preventative while they are in our program. We look

My Doberman has officially filed a complaint with management. Apparently, getting wet is a violation of their rights and requires personal umbrella service. 😂

Dear HADR,
Having seen recent stories on FaceBook of HADR alumni, I wanted to also share Axel’s in his honor. Our beloved Doberman Axel (adopted name Wizard), an HADR alum from 2014, joined his fur sibling on the rainbow bridge on May 5th, almost reaching 13 years old. We were so incredibly lucky to find this 11 month old goofball sitting in a trough of water at the farm, and enamored with his quirks and unique appearance, took him home for a “trial run”. What an adventure the last 12 years have been with him. Silly and fun, a genuine sweetheart and a companion that one can only dream of, his passing has left a void in our hearts. Becoming the best friend to a child and a comfort to all those around him, I feel so honored to have had him in my life and to have loved a dog so much. With that, I share a picture of the day we brought him home and one of the last photos before he passed away.
