Theodore and Crystal Wilson

This missionary couple is from HNW and a couple of years ago committed to serving with Rafiki Ministries in Nairobi. Pray that they will be resourced and equipped well so that they can continue leading the school they are responsible for.

Team Kenya saved the best for last by spending a couple days with some of ’s missionaries currently living in Nairobi!

Kenyan Economy

Today pray for the businesses of Kenya. Some of the common challenges are high unemployment rates and corruption. Even business owners who follow Jesus are tempted to do what it takes to make a guaranteed profit even if it means forsaking the Gospel.

Ask God to convict business owners to reflect Christ in their shops and that opportunities to hire employees would become more possible.

Medical Community

Today pray for the ministry of health of Kenya. Pray that God would multiply the efforts they make to serve the many who need medical attention, specifically those that live in remote villages that have a difficult time accessing medical care.

Light Christian Ministries

This church is led by Pastor James Munene located in the heart of Kawangware. He and his family have faithfully served in this area for a number of years.

Pray that the church continues to be a salt and light in the community where Kenyans can find refuge and answers to their questions about eternal life. Also, pray for Pastor James and his ability to lead with wisdom and passion.

Kajiado County

Located 2 hours south of Nairobi this area is one of the largest counties in the country. Our main supporter here is an organization named Il’laramatak led by Agnes Leina.

The practice of early marriage, medical access and effects of weather have all had an effect on this region. Pray that the culture would shift towards the Gospel, groups like Il’laramatak would have the resources to lead the way in serving in various domains and churches would desire to collaborate together.

Il’laramatak Community Concerns

Pray for Il’laramatak Community Concerns as they serve marginalized Maasai communities, especially women and girls, by promoting human rights, education, and dignity. Ask God to provide the resources, funding, and partnerships they need to expand their impact and strengthen their programs.

Lift up their leader, Agnes Leina, for wisdom, courage, and endurance as she leads. Pray for protection and unity among their team as they work in challenging environments. Ask that their efforts would bring lasting transformation and hope to the communities they serve.

Kawangware

This is one of the largest slums in Kenya that continues to grow. Many of it’s residents live on $2/day with little to no access to clean water, proper sanitation or opportunity for education. The government has begun developing the land in this area making what remains of Kawangware even more crowded. HNW has served in this area for the last 9 years and in the coming days you will hear more about our partnerships in this area.

Pray that the Gospel continue to find its way into the lives of the Kenyans living here as they seek hope for today and also the next generation. Pray also for the families that live in this area and their practical needs.

Rays of Care Kenya

This organization is a HNW global reach partner. Led by Marylyn Mutenyo, they are mentoring and equipping the school children at Light Christian Ministries. Through them there is ongoing support in areas HNW regularly serves in Nairobi, not only practically but spiritually.

Pray that these relationships deepen with healthy spiritual conversations about the Kingdom where hope for a better tomorrow can become a reality.
