Blue has a vet appointment this afternoon. Had to change the schedule but it just means that he gets to be seen earlier. We are really hoping that he isn't dealing with anything too serious but all we can do for now is wait. He has an entire community rallying around him!

I cannot get over how amazing these came out! Thank you so much to .htx for once again photographing a senior baby for us and oh my goodness, isn't Blue so stinkin handsome!?!?! This sweetheart will be headed to the vet this week to hopefully figure out what's going on with that mass of his, but fingers and paws crossed that it is nothing serious.

Happy $6 Senior Friday!

We have BIG news! We received a grant through My Giving Circle! Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for 632 Canine Rescue and support our mission, we now have much-needed funding to help us do even more.

This means we can help more senior and special needs dogs and provide additional assistance through our Pet Food & Supply Program. I’ve been smiling ear to ear all morning!

Meet Blue!

This sweet senior has had a tough life, but that chapter is finally behind him. From here on out, Blue has a kind foster momma, a little senior pack to keep him company, and all of us at 632 Canine Rescue in his corner.

Now, we need our community to rally around this special guy. Our hope is that together, we can give Blue the golden years he deserves, safe, comfortable, carefree, and eventually in a home of his very own. Blue isn’t quite ready for adoption yet. He has a mass on his back that needs further evaluation, along with an ear infection that is currently being treated. We have some medical answers to find, but we’re choosing to focus on what we already know: Blue is safe, he is loved, and his future is looking brighter.

We are looking to bring more seniors into the organization but in order to do that, we need more funding. Vet trips, transport, therapies, and more are not free, nor are they cheap. Without funding, we cannot do much at all. Funding has once again slowed and that hurts future intakes and leaves dogs without a place to go. There are dogs in desperate need, and we want nothing more but to be there, but we can't without your help.

Late $6 Senior Friday

Once again, the Girl Scouts came through and supported the cause. The girls took funds earned from a previous rescue event and put together these beautiful kits with supplies needed for first time fosters and adopters. Kits contain beds, p*e pads, food, and more! These kits are greatly appreciated but what really warms my heart is the fact that these girls thought of this idea on their own. They took the initiative to reach out to our organization, wanting to help senior and special needs dogs.

Us current rescuers won't be rescuing forever, therefore it's imperative that our youth get involved to ensure that there will always be champion for those who cannot speak for themselves. A big thank you to Troop 127144!

Our program is continuing to grow, and this makes me so incredibly happy. We will be delivering food to the Emergency Aid Coalition which provides temporary assistance to those in need. This donation will also benefit those in New Hope Housing. Thanks to our community, we are continuing to make a difference. This is why I founded this organization was founded over five years ago, to make a real difference by helping those in need.

Whether it be through our rescue program which focuses on senior and special needs dogs rescue, or through our Pet Food & Supply Program, we are continuing to make a positive impact.

Who has four paws, a derpy grin, and decided that he was going to try and take on a possum at 5:30am this morning while I was still in my pajamas?? This dude!

This morning was interesting to say the least. Thankfully, everyone walked away, both Rocco and the possum because I do not allow him outside unsupervised, so I was there just steps away. What a way to begin a Friday although in rescue, this is definitely not the worst Friday I have seen.
