Operation Refuge

 From June 3rd to June 9th 2% of donut sales at H-E-B in Cleveland ,will go to help North Liberty County Salvation Army benefit our community. All you need to do is buy some donuts and who doesn’t like donuts.🍩

National Donut Day is this Friday, June 5!
More than a century ago, the “Donut Lassies” entered WWI huts with hands full of flour, sugar, and the honest intention to lift the spirits of the soldiers who were far from home. Against all odds, that small act of kindness made a lasting difference.

On June 7, 1938, The Salvation Army first celebrated National Doughnut Day as a fundraiser during the Great Depression to support families facing hardship. It was a wonderful act that mirrored and honored the legacy of those courageous women.

Today, at The Salvation Army, we carry this purpose forward each day, meeting local needs with love and compassion through our food pantries 🍽️, food parcel services 📦, and mobile food pantries 🚚.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Sharon Volunteers at our pantry on Mondays and Wednesdays. She is a great asset to our team. She helps in the back and up front on the computer. If she sees something that needs to be done she does it!She’s also one of our encouragers. She truly cares and listens to others who need to be heard.
