This past outreach, we served our neighbors with meals, compassion and hope, but we can’t do it alone.

Right now, donations are slower than usual, and our next weeks of outreach depends on the generosity of people who care. Every dollar helps provide meals, essential supplies, and support to those experiencing homelessness and hardship in our community.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your gift makes a difference, these photos are your answer.

🙏 Would you consider making a donation today? Whether it’s $10, $25, or $50, every contribution helps us continue showing up for those who need us most.

⚽️Today we’re proud to unveil the second lineup of our Outreach in the Barrio World Cup sticker collection.

These aren’t professional athletes, they’re people who choose to love their neighbors, serve with humility, and bring dignity to those who need it most.

Behind every sticker is someone who has helped carry this mission forward, through generosity, sacrifice, encouragement, and countless acts of kindness.

The team keeps growing because hope is contagious.🧡

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, board member, and supporter who continues to make this work possible.

This is more than a lineup.
This is a community!

Meet our first line up!

Every hero has a position, every act of kindness changes the game.

These World Cup–inspired stickers honor the people who make the mission possible not with goals and assists, but with compassion, consistency, and courage.

The team behind Outreach in the Barrio our defenders of humanity, builders of community, and keepers of hope. ⚽🧡 We want to celebrate the volunteers, board members, and donors who show up week after week to serve, love, and restore dignity in our city.

Because in this league, compassion is the championship.

Sometimes it arrives as a warm meal, a cold drink, a helping hand, or someone simply asking, "How are you today?"
These are the moments that remind us why we serve.
May Allah place barakah in every act of kindness, no matter how small it may seem. 🧡

For decades, Peter has used his remarkable photography to capture the beauty, dignity, and humanity of Muslim communities around the world 🌍. Through his lens, he has challenged stereotypes and helped countless people look beyond misconceptions, sharing stories of warmth, kindness, faith, and compassion that unite us all.

We are sincerely grateful that he chose to spend time with our community, documenting the work and our contributions towards underserved and marginalized communities. 🍽️🤝
His presence was a gift, and his photographs will help tell a story that reflects the heart of our mission: serving humanity with dignity, love, and respect.

Thank you, Peter, for your vision and your unwavering commitment to showcasing the very best of humanity.
It has been a privilege to collaborate with you and your lovely wife, Hafsa, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful connection, in shā’ Allāh. 🤍 Jazakum Allahu khairan 💞

We were honored to have renowned photographer Peter Sanders join us to capture the beauty and humanity of the day. A huge thank you to Peter, his incredible team, and Risala Foundation for connecting us and making this special collaboration possible.

One of the most beautiful moments of the day was witnessing one of our beneficiaries take their shahada, a reminder of how powerful faith, love, and community can be.

Alongside our weekly outreach, we distributed cooling towels to help with the heat, our refreshing Outreach In The Barrio lemonade, hygiene kits, and even phones for two of our beneficiaries in need.

None of this would be possible without the generosity and continued support of our donors and community. Thank you for helping us serve with dignity, compassion, and care every single week. May Allah reward you all abundantly. 🤲

Eid Mubarak from all of us at Outreach In The Barrio. 🌙
This day reminds us of what Prophet Ibrahim (AS) taught us, that true faith is surrender. That everything we have has always been an amanah, a trust from Allah. And that is when we give from that trust sincerely, for His sake, we never truly lose anything. Allah multiplies it.

And this spirit of sacrifice is not only remembered today, it is lived.

Throughout these blessed days, because of your generosity and support, we were able to continue serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hardship across Houston. Meals were shared, supplies were distributed, people who felt forgotten were reminded that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
As families gather and celebrate today, we also hold in our hearts the neighbors who are still quietly struggling.
The ones we know by name, the ones who may not have heard
“Eid Mubarak” from anyone today.

These 10 days were not a campaign, they were a calling.
And because you answered it:
•People were able to eat.
• Lives were touched.
•Hope was restored.
•Human dignity was protected.

May Allah accept every prayer, every dollar, every tear, and every act of sincerity from all of us during these sacred days.
And may the people we served become witnesses for us on the Day we return to Him. 🧡

Today is Arafah, the most sacred day of the year. The day Allah descends to the lowest heaven. The day more souls are freed from the Fire than any other day.
Before the sun sets, 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞

Because this is the day, because generosity on Arafah is generosity at its most powerful, because the people who feed the hungry on Arafah are the people Allah sees.

🕋 Don’t let the greatest day of the year without giving something.

May Allah accept every dollar, every dua, and every moment of sincerity today.
