Parenting life hack?
Teach your kids to cook so they’ll do it for you! 😆 Okay… maybe that’s not exactly how it works. 😂 But watching them gain confidence in the kitchen is pretty amazing.
Our Storybook Cooking class combines two of our favorite things—📚 books + 🍴 cooking! Kids will read a story, bring it to life, and make something delicious inspired by the book.
Because learning is always more fun when you get to read it, make it, and EAT it. 😋
Our next Storybook Cooking class is coming up soon! 🍪📖
Grab your little chef’s spot before registration closes.
A whole year of tiny artists, big imaginations, and so much creativity… all in one room. 🥹🎨
Today we celebrated our Little Explorers artists with our very first art show, and watching them see their artwork displayed was the sweetest thing.
Here’s to giving kids a place to create, explore, and be proud of what they make. 🤍
And yes… our art classes are open for sign ups! Learn more at littleexplorerslab.com
If you’re gonna get excited over sponges, it has to be THESE! 🧽 Comment Sponges for the link!
I discovered them by accident when I ordered them thinking they were regular sponges!
Cut them up, fill a bowl with water, and let your child’s eyes light up! Have your child squeeze the water with their fingers out of the sponge to strengthen those fingers!
You’ll probably enjoy this sensory experience just as much, who am I kidding.
Want the link to purchase some? Comment Sponges and I’ll send it to your inbox!
This is what my classroom used to look like.
I knew I could do better. ❤️
I wanted children to have a space where learning felt natural. Where they could touch, explore, create, move, ask questions, make mistakes, and follow their curiosity.
So I stopped dreaming about what that space could look like… and built it.
What started as an idea in my classroom became Little Explorers Lab. 🥹
A space designed around the way I always believed children should learn — hands-on, purposeful, beautiful, and full of wonder.
Looking back at where it started and seeing what it has become is something I’ll never take for granted.
Sometimes the biggest changes start with simply thinking, “I know I can do better.” ✨
It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes I just want to hide 😂
Why is it that the kids who absolutely cannot get along—and whose moms are complete opposites—ALWAYS want to play with the exact same thing?! 😂
Like… out of EVERYTHING in this entire place?! 🤦♀️
The best childhood memories are often made in the simplest moments…
A tiny hand proudly holding something they created.
A child saying, “I made this!”
A new skill discovered through curiosity and play. 💛
Tomorrow, our fall classes open for registration!
We’ve created experiences designed to let children explore their creativity, independence, and imagination through:
🎨 Art
🥣 Cooking
🌱 Montessori-inspired learning
We can’t wait to spend this fall exploring with you at Little Explorers Lab. 🍂
They felt respected so they respected me.
This is how it works:
1. I explained the situation, why it was a problem, and why we needed to stop the behavior.
2. I didn’t raise my voice, and I never told them they were being bad.
3. I gave them a voice by making decisions between two options they had.
4. I always explained what we were doing, where we were going, and who would be there.
Treat your children with respect, and see if they reciprocate it. Don’t forget, children learn by watching someone model the preferred behavior (yes, that’s you!)
They won’t remember every toy they played with… but they’ll grow from every opportunity they had to explore, connect, and discover.
These little moments matter. 🤍
The sweetest part wasn’t the fairy crowns.
It was watching little hands carefully choose just the right flower… helping a friend when theirs fell off… proudly putting on their finished crown like it was made of gold.
Childhood doesn’t need to be rushed. It deserves afternoons like this—where imagination leads, creativity takes its time, and no one is worried about getting messy.
These are the moments I hope they remember. ✨🧚🌸
What if your child’s favorite class wasn’t about being the best… but about discovering what they’re capable of? ✨
At Little Explorers Lab, we believe children learn best when they can touch, create, experiment, and explore.
🍂 Little Artists Studio — multi-week art projects where children learn techniques and create meaningful works of art.
📚 Storybook Cooking — favorite stories paired with hands-on recipes in the kitchen.
Fall registration is open THIS Friday! We can’t wait to explore with you.
