This patio setup combines natural textures and neutral tones for a look that’s both inviting and effortlessly stylish. Perfect for soaking up the sun, enjoying a good book, or hosting friends. How would you spend your afternoons here?

The process is rarely glamorous, but it is always worth it.

I believe the difference between a beautiful bedroom and one you never want to leave isn’t the headboard, it’s bedside lamps at eye level when you’re reading. Linen sheets that get softer with every wash. Aged walnut nightstands with visible grain. Blackout lining under beautiful curtains. These aren’t Instagram moments. They’re the reasons you sleep well and wake up happy.
Outdoor spaces should feel like rooms, not just furniture on a patio. Layered greenery for enclosure. Water for sound. Sculptural seating that can hold its own against the sky. That’s how you make a space feel sheltered even when it’s completely open.
Some places chase trends. Others define timelessness.
A day at the The Peninsula Hong Kong is a reminder of true luxury. The perfectly proportioned room. The seamless service. The thoughtful touches that elevate an experience.

Behind every beautiful room is a team you never see. The millworker who hand-planes panels so the grain flows seamlessly. The stone fabricator who book matches marble slabs. The upholsterer who precisely hammers hundreds of nailheads because that’s what the design requires.
I design the vision. I don’t build it.
That’s why I’m obsessive about finding craftspeople who care as much as I do. The ones who call when something doesn’t look right instead of hoping I won’t notice.
Beautiful work is always a collaboration.
Beautiful interiors are always a collective effort.

Fifty years ago, I had no idea I'd end up designing a $150 million private jet or working on projects across four continents or being named to the AD100 twice.
What I did know: I wanted to create spaces that made people feel at home not just impressed. That's taken me from River Oaks to London to Switzerland and back. The accolades are nice; Architectural Digest, The New York Times, all of it.
But what I'm proudest of? The clients I've worked with for twenty years. The ones who call me when their kids buy their first house.
That's the work that matters.

Join us as we explore the influence of Anna Wintour and Paige Rense, two women who helped shape the worlds of luxury, design, and culture through the power of editorial vision.
A fascinating conversation and one of my favorites so far.
You spend about 30 minutes a day in your laundry room. That’s 182 hours a year in a space most people treat like a closet. I design laundry rooms the same way I design living rooms because beauty in the everyday matters. Charcoal walls hide lint. Custom cabinetry with pullout hampers means no baskets on the floor. Mosaic hex tiles are classic and hides wear. Brass
fixtures add warmth.
