Recently, Shira Ali and Mark Doré led an all-day Associate Intensive on "Working Backwards from Litigation." They examined what a collections trial looks like from the inside and walked backward through each stage of the case to see how early decisions impact trial readiness.

It was a valuable reminder that confidence in the courtroom starts long before trial and that staying current and committed to learning helps us better serve our clients every day.

Sally joins DRL as a Legal Assistant, bringing prior experience in Estate Planning and Probate. She holds a Paralegal certification and supports the firm through a combination of legal and administrative responsibilities. Working closely with clients, attorneys, and staff, Sally helps ensure matters are handled efficiently, accurately, and with exceptional attention to detail.

She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Houston–Downtown and is committed to continuing her professional growth within the legal field. She is also a licensed notary, allowing her to provide additional support to clients throughout the legal process.

Outside of the office, Sally loves reading, traveling, spending time with family, and watching movies and television shows. A self-proclaimed coffee lover, she enjoys acting as the unofficial barista at home.

Last week, the Doré Rothberg Law team gathered at Katy Budget Books for a book exchange that turned out to be one of our most entertaining team events yet. Everyone brought a wrapped book labeled only with a few clues, and we exchanged them white elephant-style.

We had great food, drinks, and one clear takeaway: Shira Ali has excellent taste in books. In fact, her selections were stolen so many times that we're not sure it was a book exchange as much as a coordinated effort to keep Shira from taking anything home.

It was a fun opportunity to share recommendations, discover new reads, support a local independent bookstore, and spend time together outside of the office!

The team keeps growing! We are happy to announce that we have added a new paralegal to our Fort Worth office. Krystal Brown brings experience in Estate Planning as well as knowledge regarding Personal Injury law. At DRL, she will focus on Estate Planning, Probate, and Litigation.

Krystal spends her free time in the gym, playing the piano, and writing poetry. We are thrilled to have her on the DRL team and have already been encouraged by her desire to help others.

The Lauren Morgan Memorial DRL Team Member of the Quarter belt has officially been passed from paralegal Christina Lara-Zamarripa to Shanelle Goffney, our accounts receivable specialist!

Shanelle consistently goes above and beyond for our team, and we are excited to celebrate her continual hard work and dedication. Although it's fun to watch the belt change hands, we know the real prize is her new reserved parking spot!

We’re excited to announce the promotion of Nya Mack to Strategic Projects Associate at Doré Rothberg Law!

Since joining the firm as a legal assistant late last year, Nya has consistently gone above and beyond in every aspect of his role. Along the way, he demonstrated a strong interest in developing technology and a unique ability to think critically about how firms can work smarter and more efficiently.

In this new position, Nya will support strategic initiatives focused on workflow improvement, process organization, operational efficiency, and the practical integration of AI and legal technology tools across the firm. For our firm, innovation is not about replacing the human element that makes legal services effective; instead, we aim to simply streamline repetitive processes and improve consistency.

We’re incredibly proud of the work Nya has already done, and we're grateful to have him on the team as we continue building toward the future.
