The snowdrop and its connection with childhood cancer patients:
The snowdrop is the first flower to bloom in the spring, even blooming when snow is still on the ground. It is a hearty flower, nearly indestructible by nature. Childhood cancer patients demonstrate indestructible attitudes and spirit while battling the life threatening illness of childhood cancer. The snowdrop symbolizes hope and p

"In our first Snowdrop ULTRA 55 Hour Race and Relay, I got my first 100m and Glenda got her first 50m. She's so cute. I did my first marathon and she ran her first half-marathon and she didn't want to say she hurt because she "only" did half of what I did. Then I got my first 100m and she got her first 50m. She didn't want to complain again because she "only" did half of what I did.... BUT 50 miles were still AMAZING. This is what I have. I have a team of people who support me and keep me humble. I am surrounded by so many who support my endeavors."
What a great story Dee! Way to !

"My involvement with Snowdrop Foundation began through Derricks & Diamonds, a group deeply rooted in the oil and gas industry that works to raise funds in support of Snowdrop's mission. Through that connection, I've had the opportunity to contribute to something much larger than fundraising alone; helping pediatric cancer survivors pursue their education through college scholarships. One of the reasons I continue to support Snowdrop Foundation is because it helps keep me grounded. The oil and gas industry can be massive, fast-moving, and often focused on big projects and big numbers. Snowdrop reminds me that real impact is measured differently. It reminds me that behind every scholarship is a young person whose life has been shaped by extraordinary challenges and whose future is full of possibility. My favorite memory is attending Snowdrop's annual scholarship luncheon. It's difficult to describe the feeling of walking into a room filled with hundreds of scholarship recipients. What strikes me most is that they aren't gathered because of their shared past of overcoming pediatric cancer. Instead, they're united by something far more powerful, their future. You see students pursuing dreams in medicine, engineering, education, business, and countless other fields. You hear their stories, meet their families, and witness firsthand the impact that support and opportunity can have on a life. In that moment, the mission becomes deeply personal. The luncheon reminds me that Snowdrop Foundation isn't simply awarding scholarships; it's investing in futures. Being able to witness that impact firsthand is why I remain committed to supporting the organization and its mission. It's a privilege to play even a small part in helping these remarkable young people take the next step toward achieving their goals. A close second… would be at our Derricks and Diamonds Softball tournament. How Oil and Gas, Adult Slow Pitch Softball, and Snowdrop Foundation come together is beyond me. But I’m so glad it did! I was volunteering at the tournament, and misplaced my bag that included my wallet, keys, and wedding rings. The Snowdrop team (Kevin, Trish, Cindy, and others) quickly jumped into gear looking everywhere for it, without missing a beat. I support kindness, compassion, and decency. The Kline’s and Snowdrop Foundation exemplify that, and I’m proud to be associated now and for as long as they’ll allow it!"
Thank you Wes, for your kind words, friendship, and for all that you've done for Snowdrop!

"The semester before starting college, I was diagnosed with cancer, and Snowdrop gave me the support and confidence I needed to continue pursuing my education. Years later, I’m proud to give back by running and fundraising for Team Snowdrop. Snowdrop changed my life, and I’m grateful to see it continuing to change lives 20 years later."

"I have been involved with Derricks & Diamonds for more than 12 years, and there have been countless unforgettable memories along the way. One of my favorites is attending the annual Snowdrop luncheon and seeing the incredible number of scholarships awarded by this amazing organization. It is always inspiring to witness the impact we help make through Derricks & Diamonds and the lives that are changed because of it. I also look forward to the annual charity softball tournament, especially the kickoff game between Team Chelsey and Team Snowdrop. It is a fun tradition that brings everyone together for a great cause. Another memorable moment was the spirited dog bidding war at the 2024 Benefit, with Kevin Kline serving as MC. The energy in the room and the generosity of those involved made it a truly unforgettable experience. These are just a few of the many special memories I have been fortunate to experience over the years, and I am grateful to have been part of Snowdrop’s incredible mission and impact."
Thank you Katelin, for all that you've done for Snowdrop and your continuous support, helping us be the that much more impactful.

💜 20 Years of Hope Memory Series
Today's feature is from friend Andrew Copulsky
"One of my favorite Snowdrop memories is the Run Over Cancer in Sugar Land, Texas. What started as a small 5K grew into an incredible community event. In September 2016, we welcomed more than 600 runners, along with cheerleaders, Toro from the Houston Texans, over 30 vendors, and tremendous community support. The moment I'll never forget happened just before the race began. Kevin surprised me by announcing that the event would run in honor of my father, who had passed away from cancer. Standing among hundreds of runners, volunteers and supporters, I was overwhelmed with emotion. It was a powerful reminder that Snowdrop is about more than races, it's about honoring loved ones, supporting families, and bringing hope to those impacted by cancer. That memory will stay with me forever. "
Thank you for sharing Andrew and for being such a great friend to the Snowdrop Foundation!
