As our summer programs come to a close, we’re celebrating the participants in our Summer Reading Club and ESL for Customer Service classes!
We are so proud of our young readers for dedicating themselves to learning this summer. By attending our reading club twice a week over the past month, they strengthened their reading and comprehension skills, grew their vocabulary, and participated in engaging activities.
We also recognize our adult ESL learners, who gained practical, real-world communication skills that will support them in future career opportunities and everyday interactions, all while building a strong community within their class.
We can’t wait to see all of these students continue to flourish! Congratulations on a wonderful summer of learning🎉🌟
Everyday, over 66,000 people in the Houston area can’t afford to eat and 1 in 4 Texas children are food insecure. This is impacting families in our community and we need to respond.
Our mission at BFT is to resource families to build stronger communities and brighter futures.
Through our Food Pantry, in partnership with the Houston Food Bank, we are here to serve community members and empower local families in the face of food insecurity.
In 2025, our Food Pantry distributed over 650,000 pounds of food to our local community through weekly curbside appointments, food for change programs, monthly mobile food distributions and in-person shopping experiences.
If you want to help fight food insecurity in Northwest Houston, you can volunteer with us at www.bridgingfortomorrow.org/volunteer or give now at www.bridgingfortomorrow.org/give. 🤍

What a great start to our summer programs!📚
This week, we had the opportunity to welcome a Hunger team, a group of fifth grade students on a journey to learn and serve our local community! They spent the day with us learning about food insecurity and walking through a real-world hunger simulation that helps bring awareness to the difficult choices many families face every day.
We also kicked off our Summer Reading Club, where students are continuing to grow their literacy skills and a love of reading throughout the summer with trusted volunteers.
We are eager to see our community experience a summer full of learning and fun!🌟

Senior Night gave us the opportunity to gather with students and families for a special dinner and ceremony honoring and reflecting on the dedication these students have shown throughout their time at BFT in our youth programs!
We are so proud of their commitment, growth, leadership, and the incredible young adults they’ve become. Watching them grow into graduates ready for their next chapter has been such a gift!
We can’t wait to see all they accomplish next. Congratulations seniors, your future is bright! 🎓

What an incredible way to close out the year!✨
Our End of Year Celebration brought together the amazing families in our programs, our dedicated volunteers, and staff who make this work possible every single day.
This was a special time to celebrate all of the growth, hard work, and say thank you for showing up, supporting one another, and helping us build such a strong community throughout the year.
A special thank you to Faithbridge for generously allowing us to use their space for this celebration and helping make the evening so special. We are grateful for each and every one of you!

What an incredible day at the ROW Cares Dan Ewing Memorial Golf Tournament!
We are grateful to have been selected as a beneficiary for the tournament alongside Paws for Heroes. From connecting with amazing local companies and tournament participants, to cheering on the golfers and even serving as judges for the food competition, we enjoyed every moment!
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success and for supporting organizations that are working to make a difference in our community!🤍
