Adding Corero DDos attack prevention to our datacenter services in May was a big step forward to expand our business and to protect our customers. The new defense is working flawlessly, and below is information about attacks that were blocked.

Small attacks less than 100 Mb/s are usually probing for vulnerabilities and brute force authentication attempts. Large attacks greater than 1000 Mb/s (1 Gb/s) would have overwhelmed Internet traffic for clients with 1Gb/s ports. Our Corero device stopped each attack within seconds, passed through valid data, and ensured no compromise to any service. All attacks are far below our 100 Gb/s DDos protection capacity.

Our datacenter and MetroE services all come with complimentary 10 Gb/s DDos protection. Oplink.net is fully capable to block hostile bandwidth up to 100 Gb/s and we welcome all customers to contact us to increase their protection.
