LHI’s Story
LHI’s mission is to empower Le***an, Gay, Bis*xual and Q***r Women women and anyone transgender and nonbinary through access, advocacy and education programs! We have four monthly workshop series: 1) A Community Dialogue series about intersectionality and structural barriers of racism, s*xism, homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, xenophobia, etc; 2) A Positive Understanding of S*x and Sensuality (P***Y) Workshop Series looking at the complexities of s*x and s*xuality to reach a healthy and s*xy understanding of s*x outside of shame and stigma; 3) LBGT+ Health workshop series teaching important health lessons from a q***r and trans lens; 4) An LGBTQ+ Veteran Women and Nonbinary folks Community Support Space.
We also many other collaborative advocacy events and videos, as well as a patient navigation system connecting people to preventative health services, and community support and health services!
*All LHI events are nonjudgmental spaces affirming of people of color (POC), q***r, inters*x, trans and nonbinary folks with any and all disabilities and relationship dynamics.
