Throwback to this past Houston Reads Day! We are still buzzing from our largest event yet, thanks to our amazing volunteers, staff, and sponsors who made an impact on our community.

Get ready for the 7th annual Houston Reads Day on Friday, February 26, 2027! We look forward to continuing our mission of impacting our community through literacy!

This summer, Literacy Now is proud to launch its largest-ever Reading Intervention summer program yet, reaching more than 190 K-5 students across Houston!

We are partnering with Alief Independent School District, Étoile Academy Charter School, Life Streams Community Outreach Inc., and Sheldon ISD to support struggling readers and strengthen literacy skills all summer long.

This vital program greatly reduces the summer slide many children experience, and we can’t wait to witness the remarkable progress they will make.

Join our team to help students build stronger reading skills and greater confidence through small group instructions and support.
