Another burger adventure

Adventure at Bernie's: despite the screaming children and the long wait, the food was decent and the service was great. Although, I think I prefer Buff Burger more. Sorry Bernie, maybe next time I need to try one of those shakes.

Found out there's a Bernie's not far from us. Definitely had to try it. Very noisy, lots of screaming kids. That's a bit of a let down. Buff burger was way more quieter and a heck of a lot less chaotic. Gotta try these burger and fries though to see if the insanity is worth it.

Buff Burger
These fresh made burgers mean you have to wait at least 15 minutes, but the wait is worth it. The burgers are juicy and served medium well. I would prefer medium rare, but since the patties are not that thick, it can't be helped. All fries come with a splash of their house-made jalapeno ketchup. Not super spicy but has a nice little zing to let you know that those jalapenos are there. Also, those fries are dangerously addictive. Cut thin and super crispy, you have to pace yourself when eating those bad boys. Granted the fries and drink are all sold separately, making the entire meal a little pricey, the food and service is well worth it. Highly recommend to venture to this place on a weekend day trip, and will most certainly be coming here again.

Last night, the boyfriend and I were hankering for some delicious and one of kind burger. Thankfully, we found such a place; Sam's Burgers, Fries & Pies. They served mouthwatering burgers with fresh ingredients, on a toasted egg bun. All the tables are made with repurposed wood that dates back to The Great Storm of 1900 in Galveston. Reasonably priced food, though we do recommended in skipping the sweet potato fries (little too sweet for our tastes), but the burgers are superb and their homemade peanut butter pie is outstanding. Will definitely be coming back again.
