Man… this one hurts deeply.

I still can’t believe it. After 8 months away from training, something in my heart told me to come back to the mats on Monday. Then to find out the gym is closed and what happened… it doesn’t even feel real.

People see black belts as warriors. Tough. Unbreakable. But even the strongest people can be fighting battles in silence that nobody else sees.

You built something special. Not just a gym, but a real family. A community. So many of us looked up to you, respected you, learned from you, and became better because of you, both on and off the mats.

I pray God gives strength and peace to your family, your friends, your students, and everyone hurting right now.

Life is so short, man. Please check on your people. Tell people you love them. Give people grace. We never truly know what someone is carrying inside.

Rest easy professor. Thank you for every lesson, every round, every word of encouragement, and everything you gave to this community.
