TSM - Houston

Just over a year ago, on July 4th, 2025, Kerr County, Texas suffered the worst inland flooding event in America since 1976. There was widespread property damage, homes and vehicles lost, and most importantly, 139 lives were lost. The men and women of TSM were asked to assist in a massive Search and Rescue event, which sadly, became a recovery operation. It's been a year now and life in the Hill Country has resumed, but the memories of that tragedy are forever etched in the minds of those who served there. Over 2,000 volunteers showed up to do what Texans have always done...Support and Serve our beloved home!

TSM welcomes all Texans who are willing to train, learn, and do the hard things when called upon. If not us, then who?

Today, our TSM team returned to Houston National Cemetery for the final part of the Flags for Fallen Vets mission—flag removal.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up today. Flag placement is a powerful and visible part of the mission, but the work doesn't end there. Thousands of flags still need to be carefully removed, bundled, and stored for next year. TSM showed up in force and got the job done, completing our assigned sections in about an hour. Thank you to everyone who dedicated their time and effort to ensuring this tradition continues year after year.

Most importantly, we remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to duty are the reason we gather each year for this meaningful tradition.

Today, TSM volunteers participated in the Flags For Fallen Vets flag placement at Houston National Cemetery. It is a humbling experience to stand among thousands of flags honoring the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. We remember and honor their sacrifice this Memorial Day weekend and always.

Today, TSM was honored to provide security at the Valor & Victory Fest as part of Houston’s Fleet Week at The Puttery. It was an incredible day bringing together active-duty service members, veterans, city officials, and senior naval leaders to celebrate community, connection, and service.

Members of TSM-Houston Vikings Company provided security today for the Valor-Victory Fest in connection with Naval Fleet Week. The spirit of service runs deep in our members.
