An upper blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift) is a procedure during which excess upper eyelid skin, muscle, and fat are strategically removed to improve the appearance of the eyes.

This procedure can be comfortably performed under local anesthesia but is also commonly performed together with other procedures, such as a brow lift or facelift.

Rhinoplasty healing takes time!

Here's a great example of a beautiful patient's healing progression over 6 months. Gradually over time, the swelling subsides, and the incision fades.

Most of the swelling is gone by 3 months after surgery, but subtle refinement, particularly at the tip of the nose, will continue up to a year.

This handsome patient had a crooked nose and severe nasal obstruction due to multiple nasal fractures. He underwent a functional rhinoplasty and septoplasty to straighten his nose and improve his breathing.

She had previously undergone a septoplasty elsewhere but still had nasal obstruction.

We performed a rhinoplasty with rib graft, nostril narrowing, and a revision septoplasty.

This beautiful patient in her early 30s had previously had submental liposuction by another surgeon and had a good result, but she wanted more definition. She consulted with FPSA to see if we could further enhance her jawline definition.

This beautiful patient underwent Chin Augmentation with an Implant and Submental liposuction to enhance her jawline.

This beautiful patient is petite in stature and desired a smaller nose. She underwent Rhinoplasty in which the nasal tip projection (how far the tip sticks out relative to the face) was reduced to bring the tip closer to the face. Her bridge was also narrowed and lowered to create a gentle slope.

She also has thin skin, and her tip cartilages were visible through the skin. Therefore we used an AlloDerm acellular dermal matrix graft to add thickness to her nasal tip skin to better camouflage the underlying cartilage.

Following our last post, here's an example of a patient who underwent ear-pinning surgery, also known as otoplasty.

This patient had prominent ears due to under-developed anti-helical folds and excess ear cartilage. Both issues were addressed to pin the ear back.

An underdeveloped anti-helical fold is one of the most common causes of prominent ears (highlighted in green).

During ear pinning surgery, also known as otoplasty, we recreate this fold by weakening the cartilage and folding the cartilage back using judiciously placed sutures.
