Y’all know I celebrate frogs every day, but I’m honored to be able to collab with ReptiChip Premium Substrate to help give our amphibian friends the recognition they deserve!

The tiniest little darts hold the biggest place in my heart. Ranitomeya reticulata is one of my favorite species of animals in the world. Found this little parent raised gem today.
Several egg deposition sites available…
Deposit whole clutch in the same film canister. Good job guys 😂

I’ll be delivering some animals to the Big D tomorrow, so if anyone would like to get some darts from me while I’m in DFW for the weekend, let me know!

Rain always gets the darts fired up and Miz Liz decided she would not be shown up this time and started laying as well! Love this goofy girl.

To my Baton Rouge regulars, y’all warmed my heart so much today with the congratulations, well wishes and support! I was absolutely slammed this morning and I appreciate all of you so very much! This lovely gentleman has been a regular for me since the very first Baton Rouge show. Today, he walked away with his first obligate and I’m honored he chose to get him from me!

Come see me and some other great vendors this weekend Baton Rouge! I’ll be there with some of the most beautiful animals in the world, feeders and dry goods!
*The Ranitomeya pictured are still adjusting to life on land, but I will have some older ones available*
Also, I’ve sold my juveniles, but I have this proven male SF redhead I produced that I’m offering up for sale. Please note, these are not cheap animals, so don’t expect a tinc price for a large obligate.

Sometimes opportunity comes knocking on your door when you least expect it. What started out as me doing some usual amphibian consultation work has turned into me officially accepting a position as Supervisor of Herpetology and Entomology with the Houston Zoo. Thus, I am announcing my retirement from doing shows full-time. I appreciate every one of you that has supported me, let me nerd out about the animals I love so much and providing me with the opportunity to grow my business! Urban Amphibia will still live on and I will continue to keep and breed dart frogs (among other species) but I just can’t pass up this opportunity to teach, learn and grow these underrepresented departments at one of the most visited zoos in the country. Much love and happy herping 💚🐸

Took Pecos Red out to soak up some of our native Texan brutal August sun.

Koetari Rivers are my favorite sleeper tinc. Their coloration is so uniquely deep and they’re really just stunning frogs in person. Also the most challenging tinc to breed in my experience!
