The playing field is global and a lot of people are still thinking local. That gap is either your problem or your advantage.

Most of us were taught the golden rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
It's a good start. But in leadership it's not enough.
Because the way YOU want to be spoken to? Your D-style employee might find it cold. Your I-style client might find it boring. Your S-style teammate might find it overwhelming.
The platinum rule is what separates good communicators from great leaders 👉 meet people where they are, not where you are.

Knowing your people means knowing what drives them, how they communicate, what will burn them out, and what will make them stay 💪. It's not a soft skill. It's the foundation everything else sits on.
The best leaders aren't the smartest people in the room. They're the ones who know their people the best.
