Houston Project Linus 10,000,000 blankets have been delivered in the US since 1995.

The Central Houston are chapter has been extremely busy over the past few months. We have had donations from Scout troops, Schools, Quilting Guilds as well as individuals making quilts for the Houston Area. I want to shout out a big THANK YOU to all the people who have helped make blankets as well as those that have helped process the donated blankets. We.could not do this without every one of you!

Do you have bins of scrap fabric that you don’t know what to do with it? You hate to throw it away, thinking you’ll find a use for it “someday.” Never fear! Introducing our first ever “Scrappy Sewing With Patty” fundraising event. This event features a total of 7 patterns you will be able to download, one pattern released every two weeks, beginning Saturday, March 8, 2025. Each pattern is designed to be beginner-friendly and adaptable to various fabrics and scraps you may have on hand.

Registration Process

Beginning on Saturday, February 15, 2025 you can register for this new fundraiser; Please go to ProjectLinus.org. to regerster. During registration, you will have opportunity to designate yo ur local chapter as the recipient of your donation. If you do not designate a specific chapter then your donation will be used to benefit all Project Linus chapters.
After we have processed your registration, you will have access to a “Scrap Cutting Guide.” This guide provides hints on the sizes and type of scraps you can use for each pattern. Links to download this Scrap Cutting Guide as well as each pattern when released will appear on this page. You will have this access after we have processed your registration and either updated your current or added a new Project Linus account. Login details will be included in your registration receipt.

We got a nice Thank you from Nexus Children's Hospital.

I want to thank University of Houston’s Alpha Epsilon Delta national Pre-Medical Honor Society. The group helpled tie blankets and with their help seven more blankets will be available to be donated.

We had a great blanket making day at Newrez. Around 30 employees from throughout the company had a hand in making 40+ blankets.
