Healing begins with a boundary. One cannot heal without the space to do so. 😌
It can be hard to set boundaries if you grew up in, or have experienced environments in which your boundaries were disrespected, or there was no room for your feelings. It might feel awkward or uncomfortable at first, but on the other side of that new boundary is a deeper sense of relief. This is part of what we call “doing the uncomfortable work”.
Setting boundaries with yourself means creating internal limits and rules to protect your well-being, energy, and mental health- such as saying no to something you can’t take on. It really is okay to say no.
