Watching Bad Bunny on that stage was more than just a performance. It was a powerful reminder of why I love this country so much. As a Latina immigrant who moved from Honduras to Houston, seeing our culture celebrated at this level fills me with an incredible sense of hope.

Ever since I moved here, I’ll admit I felt like I lost a part of myself. In my search to belong, I started dimming my own light. Nobody asked me to do it, but I felt it was something I needed to do to be accepted. I hid parts of my culture…the very parts that you, Benito, proudly showcase everywhere you go.
Seeing you up there reminded me that who we are is JuST EnOUgh. You reminded me to never stop believing in us.
This country has been a land of such immense beauty and opportunity for me. My journey here has shown me that there are so many more BEAUTIFUL SOULS (my husband one of those) who lead with love and acceptance than anything else.
This is the America I know: the one where we lift each other up and realize that our differences are our strength.
