Congratulation to Dr. Soltero for being selected as a fellow in the Obesity Health Disparities PRIDE program, which is funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Of the National Institutes of Health.

Congratulations to Laura Zenteno for her acceptance into the Short-Term Research Experience Program to Unlock Potential (STEP-UP) program funded by the National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases!
Laura, a Houston native, recently graduated from high school and will be attending Smith University in the fall. This summer, Laura will work with the Soltero lab over the summer and will gain hands-on research experience on the treatment of type 2 diabetes in Hispanic youth.
