'Everyone should be making preparations' for possible hurricane, Houston leaders say Tropical Storm Laura's path is still in limbo but some models show the Texas Coast could be impacted.

Here are some steps we can all take to help stop the spread!
1) Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water.
2) Don’t touch your face.
3) Cough/Sneeze into your elbow.
4) Maintain social distancing.
5) Limit or eliminate any nonessential travel.
6) Feel sick? Stay home! If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19, call your doctor.
7) Be sure to follow guidelines set forth by the Center of Disease Control and the World Health Organization.

Happy Wedesday!! All of us here at TechnoCycle would like to thank everyone who participated in our customer appreciation event at Karbach last week. 😊 We gave away a ton of great prizes and had some delicious beers – can’t wait to see y’all again at next year’s event!

We had a blast at our Annual Computer Giveaway at Berry Elementary this past Saturday. This is the 8th year that all entering first graders receive a free computer with a genuine copy of Windows 10 Pro installed and ready to go - no stings attached! Just think, in three more years our first group of kiddos from when we started this program will be graduating high school! 😁

TechnoCycle has a strong community focus and we want to give back to the Houston community. We take in hundreds of thousands of retired IT assets; what companies and organizations consider to be yesterday's technology. These assets may be end-of-lifecycle for the company but fortunately for these first graders, not end-of-life. By giving these 1st graders this technology early, we give them a fighting chance to compete in our technology-driven world. The sooner we can put technology in the hands of our kids, the better position they’ll be in to complete in the job marketplace.

Enjoying an awesome pancake breakfast!

Over the past month, TechnoCycle partnered with many companies and communities to host E-Cycle Events throughout the Houston area in honor of Earth Day. The final tally is in: We collected a total of 41,544 lbs of electronics for recycling--that's over 20 TONS of computers, monitors, keyboards, and other electronic equipment!

Thank you to all of the organizations that asked us to bring electronic recycling to their businesses and communities!

TechnoCycle is now closed for the Christmas holiday. We will resume normal hours on Wednesday, December 27th. Everyone have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

TechnoCycle will be closed Thursday through Sunday for Thanksgiving weekend.
