1. Ultimately everything costs money, and there are endless options that range in price and quality. Knowing your budget will save you time and stress by targeting the right vendors for you.

2. While you should have a date or two in mind, your venue availability could force you to change that date.

3. Booking your venue before knowing your guest count could cost you thousands of dollars. What if they simply don’t fit?

4. Your aunt from a different state might tell you she can’t make it, but assuming that 10% of your guests won’t make it might leave you overwhelmed when they send their “yes” RSVP’s.

5. Wedding planning is very time consuming and stressful, if you don’t have a planner, lean in to your family and friends for some help and support getting your tasks done. Hire a day of coordinator so you can enjoy your day with your loved ones.

They’re not the same thing.

Day-of coordinators are incredible, and every wedding needs one. But a full-service wedding planner spends months (sometimes years) planning, designing, managing budgets, sourcing vendors, solving problems, and guiding clients through hundreds of decisions before the wedding day even arrives.

A coordinator steps in to execute the plan.

A planner creates the plan.

Both roles are valuable. Both deserve respect. But calling a wedding planner a coordinator is like calling the architect the building manager.

Sometimes the best planning decision is letting your planner say: “okay… but hear me out” 😂

Good events look effortless because someone is thinking through every detail before you ever notice it.

Just stop it.

Stop it with the “well you can pay for more hours” and the “well we have to pay our staff to be there”. SO DO WE. None of us want to work for free, so we include those fees within our prices instead of nickeling and diming clients.

You sure love the content, and how good your venue looks in those high end setups, but you won’t quite facilitate them. You can’t be in the “luxury” market and expect your clients to pick basic setups, and your vendors to deliver elaborate designs in 4 hours and clean up in 1 hour 😏

Can we just all be better team players and deliver the best to our clients??
